SoundSoftware code repository launched

The SoundSoftware.ac.uk project today launches a beta version of code.soundsoftware.ac.uk, a source code repository site for use by audio and music researchers throughout the UK.

The repository is provided for the use of researchers in the UK who would like to manage their own software projects—no matter how small—and for anyone who wishes to obtain and use software that has previously been published.

Any registered user can create their own projects. To register, you should be an active researcher in the audio or music fields in the UK. Although we encourage open sharing of code and research, we are happy to host both public and private projects. You can also start a project privately, share it with selected other researchers, and make it public later if you wish.

We're working on further documentation and tutorials to accompany the service.
