Software Sustainability: Stories and Strategies Workshop

We participated in a workshop organised by the Software Sustainability Institute which took place on the 15th of September at the UK e-Science All Hands Meeting.

This workshop, organised by Neil Chue Hong from the Software Sustainability Institute, University of Edinburgh, brought together several professionals interested in ensuring the longer-term development and use of software for research. It was an opportunity for different professionals—including researchers, developers, research computing specialists, infrastructure providers, facilitators and funders—to debate different points of view, approaches and, above all, sharing experiences related to the maintenance of both software and data. The central role played by the user community was also in the centre of the debate.

The detailed programme of the workshop and some articles related to the presentations can be found in the All Hands Meeting Webpage, following this link.
